Not Danny, Greg, or Ian, but similar guys/styles and a hot match.

Greg Valentine was one of my favs and definately had the best trunks - usually bright and matt (v Sid Cooper) or metallic white cherry red or gold. The fitted the shape of his bum perfectly

I wish more of the wrestlers wore trunks like that today.

Guess I was lucky to grown up in uk during that time when wrestling shows came to leisure centers especially over summer months. Lads watch WOS on Saturday afternoons and then tried out the moves in footie shorts. By sea side plenty sand dune wrestling in Speedos !! We all had our favourite wrestlers and speciality moves. The Americans WWE rubbish took over but good wrestling will away be tops !!

I never realized long heel versus jobber matches are in Brit Pro wrestling. It can be one long ordeal for jobbers. Nothing more satisfying than a heel taking his time. Matches tend to be over so quick in the USA pro-wrestling.

The great thing with BritPro is they actually spend their time in the ring fighting rather than bad mouthing and taunting each other.

With WWF they spend 80% of the time farting around.

This is so true. The WWF stuff is dire, perma tanned hulks posturing about and bad mouthing. No wonder Trump likes it! When you try watching the younger lightweight American guys wrestling in other orgs, it’s just as bad. All they do is jump about, run around the ring and posture. When they do kicks etc they hardly make contact. No ground wrestling and no proper sub holds, slams etc. Frankly tedious.

I'm not sure what you mean about the 'proper' slams. But, frankly I wish they would cut back to half as many vertical suplexes. At least in the Indies, I just saw some internet comments indicating that the vertical suplex isn't common now in the WWE (I'm not a regular viewer of it).
I especially hate the delayed/standing (should use the term suspended) vertical suplex. It is completely obvious that the guy being 'thrown' is working to hold his legs straight up in the air, when in the real world he would trying to fall back forward (to prevent the backward slam). I think it even supersedes 'running the ropes' as the most ridiculously phony action in wrestling.

Actually meant the Irish Whip and 'bounce' aspect of running the ropes.

They were better suited to bring in a pantomime than at a sporting event!

It is a shame that a British Wrestling Federation does not start to compete in the USA with the WWE.

I think those probrit matchs were well rehearsed on WOS. Usually Jobber does rally and get on top for a while so fans at ringside get to cheer on the popular jobber. Sometimes there is a real edge to matchs.Old scores to settle or just pent up aggression between even well matched wrestlers. Google Kid McCoy versus Tony Stewart. Short match but with a real edge to it. I watch it with sound muted cause Tony Stewart roars a lot .

Hi. I once met Danny boy Collins just after he left the ring after a tough wrestling match. Covered in sweat and gear soaked in sweat too. Friendly and we chatted briefly . Great wrestler. Kid McCoy was great too.

Yes, Danny Collins was a great wrestlers. It was especially good to see him worked over by some nasty heel. I liked the fight he did with Mike Bennet
who could really make some baby face heel, suffer. But the best match for me was against Jim Breaks. Jim could apply some real punishing arm holds and to,great effect.

One moment in a WOS match got me hooked on Wrestling. Fit Finlay ( heel) pinned Danny Boy Collins ( jobber) with a body press for the pin. Finlay hooked the leg so Danny was trying to kick out with one leg to beat the 3 count. Finlay blindsided the Ref and caught Danny boy Collins yellow trunks at crotch and lifted him off the canvas. Finlay got the pin. Danny lay helpless and slowly began to get up . He had to adjust his ‘gear ‘ inside his Yellow trunks. A very hot moment and I was hooked !!!

Thanks to everyone who has replied. Yeah the space was tight between us with spectators seats . Raw power and body heat ! After few words he headed up steps again to dressing room I guess. Gave him a pat on the back of his yellow trunk. Remember noticing at the time his trunks were soaked especially the triangle where his backbone ran under his trunks. Guess the spotlights, crowds and tough wrestling.

Used to love watching WoS back in the day. Cock in hand rubbing out a load. I can always remember a match where Ian McGregor was forced to submit in a very painful Boston crab screaming out ‘YES. YES. YES.’ I’d love to find that clip and watch it again. My fave was Danny Collins tho. So sexy.

Think Valentine had the best bum and tightest of trunks which must have been done for the cameras - collins, jeff kerry, mcgregor, and many others were watchable

Which one - there were two. "Old" or "London" Steve Logan, who was McManus' tag partner, or "Young" or "Birmingham" Steve Logan who was a good looking middleweight kid who went up to light heavyweight - there is a video on Youtube of this Steve wrestling Valentine and pinning his ass - so I'm guessing you mean "Birmingham" Steve :)
