I totally understand. In Aikido we use extensive joint locks to neutralize the opponent. Part of training is often taking your partner from the submission point and gradually extending the stretch, both to physically stretch and to expand what they can endure. It takes a great deal of trust, which engenders a great deal of intimacy, The attention between both is total- causing pain is one thing, but injury is not the goal. Using these techniques in submission matches has been very helpful, and with opponents willing to test the limits, enjoyable. Particularly fun when controlling a more powerful opponent, or overall more skilled opponent.
I would caution against prolonged “nerve holds”- a nerve injury is a special kind of hell.
I’m a fan of the erotic element of one wrestler completely dominating and manhandling an outclassed opponent. In particular large, muscular, mean heels over much smaller baby faces or not in the best shape. “regular joe” jobbers.
One of many scenarios that gets my interest is when the heel takes control of a weakened, dazed jobber’s body parts and “plays with them”.
I’m talking about things like:
Painful, controlling arm/leg bars
or thrashing a completely limp arm back and forth and using it to slap the Jobber in his own face.
Or grabbing a leg an slamming it onto the mat or twisting it mercilessly.
Or nerve clawing at will the bicep, tricep, pec, hamstring, quad, calf, inner groin or glute muscles. Totally hot.
Was once getting PT for my shoulder and the therapist was gently manipulating my arm while in a sort of arm bar position and pressing on an inner muscle of the pec (where it attached inside the armpit) and I felt a little bit turned on by it. In particular, by my completely surrendering control to him for what he had to do and the sensations I was feeling when he pressed on the sensitive area. Not exactly the same thing but very similar to why I think I find it hot in domination wrestling. The taking control of a another’s body part causing a physical sensation or making them do things they don’t want to do.
Anyone else ever think about this stuff? If so, would love to hear your take on how it makes you feel seeing it or doing it (giving or receiving) :)
