I just use some heavier plastic bought at the home center store. Roll out a section and when finished just roll it up and toss it in a trash beg. My mats stay clean and ready for use.
Better to buy a (large) plastic kiddie pool with bordered edges. You'd fall off the sides of that pretty quickly. Being on a flat surface will prevent needless injury.
Admittedly, though, having on oil match on a waterbed always intrigued me. I'm guessing it might cause it to spring a leak, depending on what it's made of, and that's not an item you want to have leaking that much water all over the place... haha.
I’ve got an oil match in a hotel upcoming and while I've used one of those thin disposable clear paint sheets before. I’ve wondered if there’s still something that might work better that’s still relatively inexpensive. I also have a mattress cover that can be used for nuru/oil massages but I don’t think we’ll be wrestling on a bed. Anyone have any good suggestions or other ideas?

2024-03-05 23:26Use coconut oil since it is inedible imo. Don’t waste olive oil, better to use on salads!

2024-03-05 11:44A blue tarp works great for oil wrestling. I like to secure the corners

2024-01-24 06:06Definitely a blue tarp and don't use baby oil use either olive oil or better yet coconut oil. The coconut oil will melt once it's on your skin.

I agree! They sell liquidized coconut oil too. It’s my fave. But olive is awesome too
