Since I couldn't wrestle from about 2016 to February 6th 2023 I am making up for lost time. Often people tell me I'm lucky to have a match or matches but there is no luck involved. I'm lucky to be able to walk, lift weights and wrestle period! In 2018 I could barely walk upstairs to my 2nd floor apt and certainly couldn't lift weights. But getting 2-3 matches per week no that's not luck whatsoever. That's planning and time management. Chatting via text messages, emails utilizing the MF platform while branching out to Whassap with some for quicker contact or phone text with others. I plan matches typically 3-4 weeks out and rematches even a bit further. I am not bragging and don't want to seem cocky and recently was told by 2 people in the same week I was intimidating. On the mats I want to be but in the profile not so much. I want to encourage guys to reach out. After last week I realized I'm not getting any younger but I did win the majority of my matches and lost one which has become a great friendship built on rivalry often our matches being very close and even over 8 months tied even Steven! I fall 1 behind then I retake the 👑 crown then in 2-3 weeks I give the crown back!
I lift weights to be able to wrestle and wrestle to be able to lift weights. The majority of my matches are straight Submission Wrestling Matches. I have built some regular contacts up and have 6-8 guys now that are regulars but at the core of this group 1 am an fiercely competitive with ( balls to the wall) some of the others appear impossible to beat although not impossible to submit! Each brings a unique skill set to the table or mats. 1 is Super Strength, 1 is a combination of Super Speed and Strength with technical knowledge, 1 is highly skilled with high school wrestling and BJJ techniques combined. I am completely fine with these guys and winning or losing. Losing tends to make me want to get better but does not discourage me in any way. Winning to me is not necessarily taking the overall match but improving or gaining ground against a specific opponent.
My typical match is straight Submission Wrestling to exhaustion. I have learned though that weeks like last week or if I visit st Louis I need to stick with a best out of 5 or 7 format vs to exhaustion lol. Weeks with 1-2 matches to exhaustion is still my preference.

That was an amazing read Pinmeifyoucan! I like that you have stayed true to your conviction about wrestling! I had no idea that you had that lay off from what it seems to have been from an injury. I have wrestled many throughout my yrs in the wrestling world but many from other sites and arrangements. I would like to think 1 day we could have a match but for now I wish you all the best!
