April 2024
Well, I still suffer from a Vestibular Migraine (similar to Meniere's disease). Fancy diagnosis for - my brain cannot process the ear's balance signals, so I'm dizzy some of the time. Still, it's slowly getting back in check. Sadly, work continues to be stressful. Personnel shortages have me filling FOUR positions. Thus, I'm always tired.
But, I'm still so heavily interested in have matches. I just need to find the time/energy. I love, love, love being a vicious (but sane) heel. But lately, I've discovered my jobber side. I tend to fantasize about being twisted, gut punched, ball grabbed and "tortured" relentlessly. I'd love to see just how much punishment I can take. In the process, I'm taking notes for when I'm back in the role of a heel :-)
For all those who think I'm flaking out on you - I DEEPLY apologize. It's not something that makes me very proud. I hate it when it happens to me. I despise myself a LOT more when I have no choice but to postpone a match I begged to set up. Again - I apologize and hope no one is taking it personally. If I chat with you - it is definitely because I WANT to have a match with you.
Hopefully, as work begins to lessen and my vertigo continues to subside, I can get back out there! Please hang in there with me fellow wrestlers. I'm coming back. That you can count on.
Will

2024-04-18 07:07I was diagnosed with Meniere's disease many years ago. When I had an attack it would have me floored for about 72 hours before I could fully recover. Drs. only told me to take more water pills when it got bad. The thought was too much fluid in the inner ear.
One time after an episode there was a pop in my ear similar to changing altitudes. The symptoms got better much quicker than normal. 2 hours instead of 72. I started chewing gum for about an hour in the morning and an hour in the evening. In a week my symptoms went away as long as I chewed gum frequently. I have stopped chewing gum now and maybe once every two months I get a split second of the feeling an episode is coming on but I take a deep breath and it stops. I understand there are many things that can trigger Meniere's disease. for me the gum chewing was my relief answer. I do not know what caused the symptoms to start but they did start 2 years after I was robbed and knocked unconscious. Chewing gum may not be your relief but if you have not tried it - it would be worth trying.

2024-08-27 20:23Very good Blog and i totally understand about Meniere's Disease, as i have been dealing with it even before i knew what it was in my earlry 20s. I used to go on carnival rides, i,e, like the Half Apple, or the Octopus an others that spun me around and would really make things even more dizzy for me after getting off would take hours or even days to me to get my head back in shape. I used to smoke a few packs of cigarettes a day, had a high stress job and was (still am) overweight that were some of the causes of Meniere's per the doctor and later google searches for what it was. I no longer smoke, i am retired so those stresses are gone and i rarely get the dizzy spells that often any longer (knock on wood). I have noticed that when i feel one coming on, i tense up on purpose and it seems to help defer it or make it less severe. I have had it so bad that when i was watching TV with my head cocked to one side, i almost feel off the couch the room spun so hard. I know what its like and luckily i have never had it happen when i have been wrestling, but i did feel one coming on one time a few years ago when wrestling and as i said, i clinched my fist and tensed my body up and it went away with only little reaction, but did have to stop the match for a bit to recover from loosing and the menieres heheheh
Good luck to you and thanks for sharing your experience with us, and we all understand what you are going thru with your explaination
