A Note for Future Trips
For those who may recall, I reached out regarding a trip to Chicago, which sadly came and went. I had no time to meet anyone and I apologize to all who were interested.
Future trips where I can wrestle will likely be shorter, depending on who is all interested in meeting up. Here is a list of hopeful destinations...
-> Chicago (Re-do) IL
-> Saint Louis MO
-> Omaha NE
-> Seattle WA
-> Austin TX
-> Los Angeles CA
-> Fort Lauderdale FL
-> London UK
Feel free to reach out if you are interested in a match!
(UPDATE, PLEASE READ: To clarify, I did not promise any matches with regards to this trip to Chicago. I did reach out to one or two closer individuals where I was staying but heard nothing from them. As for the locations above, nothing is set and stone so please stop asking when I plan to visit said locations.)

2022-05-07 18:25Some people might construe what you said to mean that you arranged matches at particular times on specific dates, but canceled after you arrived in Chicago. I think it's more likely you didn't promise to meet anyone because you realized it wouldn't be an option before you left home for the trip. When a match is actually set for a specific date, the opponent may change their work schedule, cancel planned activities, etc. Sometimes last minute cancelation is unavoidable. But it's unfair to set up matches and represent that they will happen, when in your own mind, they are only tentative because you hope to find better things to do at your destination. I hope that's not what happened here.

2022-05-07 19:42I suspect that Lighthouseguy has made a correct assumption. If the situation was to the contrary it would be unlikely that anyone would have the gall to put forth a set of planned cities to visit with the expectation that members (who might be in the know) would flock to set up for future matches with him. I am sure the WrestlerJames did his best to apologize or explain the reason for having to cancel. I have to travel over a hundred miles one way to have a match. (There are some good people closer but they have other expectations in their choice of opponents.) When I make plans, which include reservations for travel and a hotel, I advise the member of such. I ask them to let me know if something comes up at least three days before my scheduled trip to meet them. Forrest Gump spoke of things that can't be planned for (when he was running, "It happens), so I understand if my opponent has to cancel. Given my trust in the sincerity as well as honesty of these men, I do not expect that they should have to bear any cost if they are the ones who must cancel. All previous trips that I have had to cancel have (to the extent I can tell from the reactions and messages received) have not led to any difficulties for what would have been my opponents, and certainly not garnered any resentment. I hope that WrestlerJames has great success in his meetups and that his opponents prove to be men of worth and good members.

2022-05-08 05:54I always assume the best in people which is why I was relatively sure the situation was as stated in the clarification. But even though a reminder that agreeing on a date triggers conduct by the opponent wasn’t needed by the blogger, it doesn’t hurt to remind ourselves of that once in a while.
Enjoy your trips, wrestling and otherwise.
