Music to accompany an epic wrestling match
A little project that came out of a random chat in the #meetfighters chat room. What would be ultimate songs to accompany a wrestling match full of sweat and intensity? What would be good songs to bring the spice up even more.
So came up with a playlist mostly EDM inspired at the moment. Point your Spotify accounts here and if you have tracks to suggest, please let me know:

And even accompany it perhaps! Could be useful for hotel matches where you don't want people outside the room to know what's happening inside!

True. The music can be used as a distraction.

2021-11-18 05:30Music can enhance many settings. You'er soliciting songs, repeat songs. Not suggesting that there won't be some really great songs whose lyrics are applicable, but I hope that the offerings are in no way like the shit I hear at my gym, Planet Fitness. It is totally crap.
Now, that I have thrown some dirt as if it were a shotgun, let my fellow members shoot down my suggestion. For an entrance, Fanfare For The Common Man. Two alternatives, Thus Spake Zarathustra or The Ride of The Valkyries. For an exit, The Toreador Song.
For the match itself, I leave to those of my fellow MF that may well agree that what I have suggested has merit.
Finally, maybe songs that are totally instrumental??????

I'm liking Valkyries and Zarathustra. Or maybe an entrance might be Dies Irae (Day of Wrath) from Verdi's Requiem. And as an exit, O Fortuna from Carmina Burana! For the match itself I'd lean more toward Zeppelin, Deep Purple, KISS and Van Halen.

I think it would need to be established in a different playlist, the one that I've got now is too EDM driven to make a smooth transition to the more epic movie sound-track that these would fit in. :) I think that could be a nice second project then. Gustav Holst's the Planets like the Mars track would be quite beautiful too. I could grab some stuff then from Hans Zimmer, I'm thinking the Black Hawk Down soundtrack would lend itself well to this compilation, as well as the Crimson Tide soundtrack. I also would have wanted to put down some African-inspired drum tracks which don't fit well with an EDM driven track...

Brilliant, truly brilliant. Mars, The Bringer of War. Perfect. Bravo. (Now, you realize that Mars was a coward and at one time in all his scandalous doings in the Trojan War went and his behind his mother's skirts. Hera, I believe was his mommy.)

2021-11-18 06:36Just pulled this up. Yes, the Dies Irae from Mozart's Requiem---which by the way was neither completed by him or Salieri---for those who saw Amadeus---would be very good, but O Fortuna is not triumphant, so I heartily disagree. That said, BJD41 has obviously great taste in music, and I salute him for his courage for what may follow our two commentaries. Hold it, I just read the last part of his comment. It being such a superb group, how about something from Abba?

Really great list. I think tracks by Caravan Palace or Chvrches would creep in there for me.
